Earlier this year, we discussed whether we should continue with the Award Dinner… And, I for one, am very happy that we did!
Hosted by Roland, our members presented five excellent speeches, with members raising a glass in recognition of fellow Toastmasters. Vanessa raised her glass to fellow Toastmaster, Michelle. Both Zsolt and Joanna raised their glasses to Vanessa. Harry raised a glass to the volunteers in the club. Earning him the coveted Zuriberg TMC Award trophy. The final speaker, Pietro, raised a glass to Richard.
Topicsmaster Tatyana, Ah and vote counter Stefan, Grammarian Alice, Timer Elias, all did their roles proud. Yesenia as General Evaluator shared areas where we can improve.
Christmas Crackers + Fun Evening
Our final meeting for 2024 is coming up soon! It’s the “Christmas Crackers + Fun Evening”. And we’ve got two raconteurs, Pietro and Joran, who are going to keep us guessing as to what they are planning on serving up in the evening! I’ve got some inside information, and am definitely looking forward to the fun programme they are devising. Book your places soon, so that we can order the bubbly!
Members’ achievements
- Yesenia completed Level 1 of the Effective Coaching (Spanish) path. And then to top of a good month, she completed her Level 2 in the last week of November!
- Anna completed Level 2 of the Innovative Planning path.
(That means both are eligible to compete in the International Speech Contest on 14 January!)
